Get to know Urologist Dr. Ted D. Klein, who serves the population of Texas.

Dr. Ted D. Klein is a board-certified urologist, providing patients with excellent service and a deep well of knowledge. 

He currently practices with Urology Associates of Mobile. Patients want healthcare providers who are experts in their field, knowledgeable about the latest in treatments and technology, and sensitive to their individual concerns — and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We’re committed to giving each of our patients and their families our time, attention and the highest-quality urologic care.

Dr. Klein earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience at Tulane University, continuing on to earn his medical degree and a Master’s of Public Health in Health Systems Management at Tulane University. After graduating, Dr. Klein completed an internship in General Surgery as well as a residency in Urology at the Dallas-based University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. 

As part of his ongoing education in the field of urology, Dr. Klein took part in several research studies published throughout the medical community. His research included topics such as the long-term effects of mesh sacrocolpopexy, the effects of infrared tissue oximetry on the renal artery, and the correlation between the availability of PSA screening and the frequency of reported prostate cancer cases. 

He is affiliated with the American Urological Association and is a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He is board-certified by the American Board of Urology with a license to practice medicine in both Alabama and Texas.

A Urologist is a doctor who specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the male reproductive system, as well as the urinary tracts of both males and females. His profession covers the kidneys, ureter, urinary bladder, adrenal glands, urethra, and the male reproductive organs which include the testes, epididymis, vas deferens, seminal vesicles, prostate and penis. Some common disorders that urologists treat are urinary tract infections (UTI), stress incontinence, benign prostatic hyperplasia, kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, kidney cancer, prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and cystitis. These urological specialists also perform vasectomies and vasectomy reversals.
